Azikiwee Anderson is so much more than the founder of Rize Up Bakery, San Francisco’s only Black-owned artisanal sourdough bakery. Sure, that’s what he does now, and it was born out of the social unrest that was going on in 2020, and it’s growing fast. But before Zeke was the face of the bakery, he was a pro inline skater, a company owner, an event organizer, and a judge at events like the X-Games and Gravity Games. He was the mature voice of reason in a sport that was way too young for its own good. On the podcast, we talk about growing up homeless and on welfare, his many unexpected after-school activities, finding skating, going pro, and so much more.

Azikiwee Anderson Show Notes:

3:00:  Our crappy cities, not having a dad, moving to SF homeless, different perspectives, the  “I get to do this” mentality, and having a chip on his shoulder.

12:00:  Rize Up Bakery, moving to Chico, CA, violence/words, and his plethora of unexpected activities.

20 :00:  Rollerblade: They invented inline skating and make the best skates on the planet.

Best Day Brewing:  All of the flavor of your favorite IPA or Kolsch, without the alcohol, the calories and sugar.

Elan Skis:  Over 75 years of innovation that makes you better.

23:00:  Eagle Scout, early vegetarian and straight edge (until 35), HS Cheerleader, finding inline skates, and from rec to rails

30:00:  The sponsorship process, sponsors, being the older skater, all the travel, being in Batman/Hollywood, and money

41:00:  High Cascade Snowboard Camp: The legendary snowboard camp

Stanley:  Get 30% off site wide with the code pmovement

Peter Glenn Ski and Sports:  Over 60 years of getting you out there.

44:00:  Investments, he doesn’t need as much, and the trials and tribulations of being a skateQ

Julian Carr is arguably the most interesting person in skiing. Between his gigantic airs that defy what is humanly possible, to his first of its kind in the US trail running events, The Cirque Series, to his Blake’s Bronco project, which landed him a deal with Ford, Julian has made a habit of turning his passions into his life’s work…both personally and professionally. In part 2 of the podcast, we discuss the details behind big air; the 210-footer in Engelberg, Parker Cook, asks the Inappropriate Questions.

Julian Carr Part 2 Show Notes:

3:00:  Things his hair predicts, general big air questions, and BASE and skydiving.

15:00:  Fear, sponsor expectations, photo pricing, do you make money from photos,
